What's wrong in Resigning???

When we are in a nice designation, the Company offers more respect on us based on our character, hardwork, sincerity, etc. When we quit our job bcoz of many reasons, the Company behaves differently on us. Though we have many years of experience, on receiving our resignation letter, they treat us in a very worst manner. I dont know how they are forgetting our truthfulness, hardwork, etc. Our Seniors who are very close & good to us are suddenly changing worst after knowing that we are going to quit & increase his/her work burden. See, we are quitting bcoz of our health problem, personal problem, career growth, etc. How can they treat like this?

If that Company was true, they should treat well even after the resignation. Then only we will have respect on our previous Company.

This is one of the major issue which all employees are facing now. Even i too experienced this kind of treatment in my previous job. Now, my friends, cousins are also facing such issues...

A solution should come for this issue.....

There is nothing wrong in resigning ... its ur life ... ur job and ur priorities .... with increasing attrition tht the companies are seeing these days, this kind of reaction is expected ... it shldnt affect ur life ... if they r not nice to u how does it bother u ... if someone doesnt want to sustain a relationship ... why shld u bother to do it ... Just shrug it off ... move ahead with smile ... if others r bitter ... no need for u to be bitter as well ... keep a smile on ur face and look ahead ...

When you work every day, your workplace is almost like family. It's sad that when you resign, they don't treat you better.

ya... Sera. Its just like our family where we are spending most of our time... So that we cant tolerate when they behave oddly...

The company may feel disappoint of losing there hardworking employees. I like those two lines. A solution should be in understand I think, accepting the truth and wish with a smile of missing would create a feel good situation between leaving employ and company.

Once someone decides to quit,its painful to find a right candidate, shortlist her, offer her, and then she should accept the offer, and she will take sometime to get comfortable in the new job etc.

Having said that, deciding to resign is the employees' prerogative. Just because it's hard for the manager should not make the employee to stick around feeling guilty.
